Clarification on maximum tire size
I've been told that the largest size I could put on my '88 4x4 F-150 were 32's and that the largest really advisable were 31's.
I was looking on Discount Tire's website and it says that a 285/75/16 would fit. If my calculations are correct, those are 33's.
