Which one? Yokohoma or Nitto!
Ok
I have a 1998 150 4x4 and I am looking for a good winter tire. I live in the Rocky Mountian Region and use my truck to go hunting on and drive to work. So I need a all-terrain. I tried the cooper discover and I wasnt to impressed. now I have my mind set on either the Geolander AT or the Terra Grappler. Anyone have this brand of tire and use them both on and off road. let me know what you thought about them.
Thanks

bigNAnative- Hey to a fellow Wyomingite!
Have you concidered the BFG AT's? Verry popular. I have a set of 265/70/17's on mine for almost 5 years now. I've driven in every condition with them to include offroading, mud, water (more like small ponds) and of course snow and ice (not too great on ice but what is, its ice!). They have been great. I will need a new set of tires early next year myself. I plan to upgrade to 285's though.
Between the two you mentioned I'd go with the Nitto's.

I have 305-50-20 grapplers on my 04 supercrew 4x4. couldnt be happier! I was expecting some road noise from them, but they are as quiet as my stock tires were. They are mounted on Weld Commando wheels. I am in the Auto Body business and have had an awful lot of different tire's on my trucks. These are the best tire's I ever had. My 2003 F-250 SD also had them.
Yes, the BFG's where my first choice. My younger brother has a set on his ranger and they take him anywhere. I think he bought a set for 600. I am needing something a little lower. I think I am starting to lean towards the Nittos. I think I now more about them than the yokohomas. I will start saving for my BFG's for next time.

I just looked yesterday and the Nitto Grappler AT for a 265/70/R17.
I pirced them for $127 ea on the net. Price always makes a difference in my opinion. Additionally because the Nitto's have a better rating. Better get the Nitto's now before their price goes up!
Good luck in your search, post some pics of your truck when you get the tires
