tire size for 2001 supercrew

I have a question on tire size.
What is the largest tire size I can run with the factory ride height and the factory 17" steel rims?? factory size 265/70/R17

Several are running 315/70R17 on stock suspension components. They did have to riae the torsion bar and tricm a piece of plastic from the fender, but it doesn't rub.

RIght, several people have fit 315/70-17's (35x12.50) by cranking up the torsion bars and using the stock 17x7.5 inch wheels.

33 12.5 17 tires recommend a rim width larger than the 7.5 that comes stock. Can you in fact run a 33 12.5 17 on 7.5 w rim and not get wierd wear.

In theory, it will cause the center portion of the tire to wear slightly faster than the rest of the tire. Similar to running the tires at a high air pressure. You may or may not notice it over the life of the tire.
