parking brake adjustment

I am replacing the rear drum brakes on my 1998 F150 4x4 and if I adjust the star adjuster all the way in the brakes are tight in the drum cause the parking brake cable is actuating them slightly. I don't see any parking brake adjustment. Any suggestions???

Thanks

Are you sure? That would mean that your brakes have been dragging while you were driving. If you backed the adjusters all the way in and the parking brake is fully released, maybe the shoes are hung up. Sometimes the drum will wear a ridge and the shoes will catch on it when you try to get it off. If the drum doesn't turn then maybe you went the wrong way with the adjusters or they have slipped down out of the grove in the shoe and have jammed the shoes agianst the drum.
