I had this happen on my driver's side emergency brake one before. The cable end comes off the tab at the wheel. Well now it is off both sides. How do I keep the cables on? As it is the pads must be rubbing.

To make matters worse, I broke my foot and I am in a cast that I can't put weight on.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

 

i would think the parking brake mechanisms are all rusted and sticking or the cables are binding. neither is a real fun job.

 

When that happened to me I had to get both sides replaced at tthe Ford Dealer...Was told I was not using them enough...I don't have a habit of using that brake...
