advice needed please on wheels and tires

Okay all you off road gurus. I have a 2005 F-250 6.0 powerstroke ordered and should be here in next couple of weeks. I need advice on wheel size and tires. I have thought of getting 16" wheels, but have been told that they won't fit b/c the new brake rotors are larger than the 04's. Anyway, if that is true what do you guys think about 17 x 9" wheels with 5" backspacing and 35x12.5R17 BFG mud terrains. Is a 9" wheel wide enough to carry that size tire. Will they rub with stock suspension. What about gearing and the speedo. I plan on adding a 3" lift kit. Please help. Any advice is appreciated. Pictures are a plus.

Sorry, but the only part of your question I can answer is that a 35x12.50-17 will easily fit a 17x9 inch rim. The rest of your questions are hard to answer because you are dealing with a new vehicle. The fenderwells look the same on the 05's as the 99-04's, but who knows what will fit. The thing that concern me is that Ford claims that the new suspension gives the truck a tighter turning radius. Does this mean you can't fit 33's on a stock SD anymore? Who knows?
