Question New Tires

I have just recently purchased a 2003 Supercrew. First of all I love it but the tires are so small...255 70R 16. They just look so small in the wheel wells. I want bigger tires but I really don't have a big desire to lift the truck. I was wondering if 285 75R 16 would be ok. I don't know too much about trucks and such so I was curious what I might lose if I do this or if they will even fit. If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I will hopefully have some pics soon.

Do you have a 4x4 or 4x2? If you have a 4x4, they will fit easily. If you have a 4x2, they will be a very, very tight fit. You would be better off with 265/75-16's on a 4x2.

Sorry about that...I have a 4x4, so they will fit pretty easily?

I just put some 285's on my F150 on Wandells advice. They fit great and look great. I love 'em. "JUST DO IT"
