My NEW TIRES

Well i finally took some pics today of my truck with its new tires. 35" BFG A/T's. I think it fills up the gap in the wheel well so much better than the 33's did. And the deal i got wasnt bad either, $250 for all 4 tires mounted and balanced! Heres some pics...

Where?

Where did you get all 4 tires mounted and balanced from for that cheap?

ConcreteGuy: thanks for both compliments, the pavers are great. Ended up doing over 5000sq ft of driveway area in pavers!!!

cbroussard: I have a friend who works at a tire shop near me and he hooked me up! Guess ive got friends in low places!

I need to find me some new friends that I can benefit from. My truck is exactly like yours except '03 and FX4 are the only differences. I want those tires with the Helo Maxx 6 wheels and need to do a 3" lift.

First of all I hate to burst your bubble but I hope that if you put those monster tire's on that supercrew that you changed the rear end gears or you are going to have a real dog.

No bubbles bursted here....i didnt change my gears and i have countles friends who didnt either. Im not looking to get any faster, its a truck and i dont need speed otherwise id have a sports car.
And secondly gas is bad enough already so im not in for that much more of a shock!
And as far as towing and such i dont tow much but if im a bit slower uphill and so on, so be it. I like the look, it looks 10 times better with the 35's than the 33's, ive had quite a few compliments already so its def. worth it

I read in another thread, powerstroke said that when going up to a 35" you would need to regear the 3.73 or your transmission would be in trouble soon. My question is how long would it take with the 35's before the transmission problems start. I called an off-road shop and they said that it is really nothing to worry and changing the gears is not absolutely neccessary. I just wanted to ask you guys what you think.
