Question 305/70/16 on 16x10s......

So does anyone have a photo of this combo?? I would like to see how much plastic you have to trim and how far it stick out. Thanks

And will it work on a stock truck?

This is close. Here are some pics of my truck before the lift with 285/75-16 BFG AT KO's on 16x10 Eagle Alloy 058's with 4 1/2 inches of backspacing. A 305/70-16 is the same height, but about an inch wider. I had to trim about 1/2 inch of plastic off the valance where they were touching.

I believe this particular combo results in having no trimming issues at all, as the wheels just waller around inside the tires...

And I don't think it works on any truck, stock or not.

15 inch wheels on a 16 inch tire?

Just busting your chops, man, busting your chops.

wandell...You ever scar up your wheels because your tires dont protect them very much. That is the major issue everyone is saying with getting 285's on a 16x10.

No, I have not had any problems. Even though I don't off road my truck, my wife has been know to hit a curb. I always see scuffs on my tires sidewalls from this.

Thanks. I only ask because i am getting terra grapplers and there is a $100 overall difference in price between the 285's and 305's. That extra money would cover mount, balance, and alignment. I think i should just bite the bullet and get the 305's though.

I agree. I only bought 285/75-16's because BFG didn't make 305/70-16's in 2001. Bigger is better.

Bigger is better! I think even though its just an inch it will make a difference in how it looks.
