I have a 1979 f150 explorer and have a friends wrecked 1988 bronco 4x4 mags. I put them on but the front mags catch on a bolt on the disc brakes. I'm planning on machining down the locking hubs from the bronco and using the spacer that was part of the locking hub, it kept the mag a 1/4 inch away from the brakes, which is all i need. Will this be safe? I assume it will since the spacer was factory made for the bronco. Dont' want to end up as road pizza just because i'm cheap.
