89 F150 Rear Disk Conversion
89 F150 Rear Disk Conversion
Who's done it and how? I have the needed brackets and the proper calipers with e-brake mechanism, but which rotors will work while maintaining proper bolt circle and not having to swap axles.
Thanks in advance for the replies!!!!

Nobody??? Is there no one that can shed some light on what is needed? I see some other posts pertaining to the 2000 series trucks, surely someone must have done a rear disk converison on some of the earlier trucks.
Please, someone let me know.

I am wanting to do the same on a '93. Info seems to be very lacking. What rear end do you have, the 8.8, I would assume? Problem is there are lots of different 8.8 rears. There is a inexpensive kit made for what is called the 8.8 "truck" rear, but the axle bolt pattern is 5 on 4&3/4". If you find a way to postively I.D. the 8.8 rear housing, let me know.
Here are some links, you may can call and get more info.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if the Lincoln Mark VII stuff would work. I know the mustang guys take the rear lincoln brackets, calipers, cables and such. If that is the case, then this too should bolt on to the 8.8 in the trucks. From there, one would just have to source the 11", 5 hole on 5.5 bolt circle rotor.
