256 70 r 17 and Spare Tires

Hi Guys:

I know a lot of you guys went to larger wheels and tires, and I'm wondering if you upgraded your spare also?

I just upgraded my 04/F150 to 265 70 R 17. They are about 1 1/4 inches bigger in diameter than oem.

I only got 4 tires (because of costs). My spare is the original 235 70 R 17 (smaller).

Is it ok in an emergency to use the smaller spare ... will it cause any damage.

What have you guys done?? I know some of you guys have 285's and larger! did you buy 5??

Thanks

As long as you put the spare on the front, where the rotation speed doesn't matter, even if you need to change two tires.

I do find it odd that oem is a 235 on an 04.
