Question Need advice for new wheels

Hello,
I'm running the pro-comp tires 305-70-17 with my stock 7.5 wheels. Only lifted with the torsion bars.

I want to change my wheels for a 10". My question is: do I need a lift kit? what is the recomended?

thanks
Ben

If you want to run 305/70-17's (34x12.50's) on 17x10's you are probably gonna need at least a 3 inch body lift so you don't have any rubbing. Several people have run 305/70-16's (33x12.50) on 16x10's by cranking up the torsion bars and trimming the front bumper's lower plastic valance, but it is a tight fit. The added inch of tire height my be too much and cause some rubbing, but it may fit. If you had 33x12.50's, I'd say it would be not problem to fit them on 17x10's.
