has anyone had there spare tire go missing because of broken
winch cable

I saw an earlier model F150 (92-96) loss its' spare going down the road.

Don't know if the assembly is the same. Nor if it was due to a cable or operator error.

I do check my spare occasionally to make sure it is snug.

 

I check if my spare tire is there and secure everytime I am close to my truck because it sits in the bed on an angled spare tire mount in all of its 35 inches of entirty.
