Question Pirelli Tires

Would like to know if anyone is running Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires on their 4x4. I currently have the Goodyear 265/70/17 on stock chrome 17x7" rims and am considering the Pirelli 285/60/17 on new 8.5 rims. Anyone see a problem here? Will there be much of a height difference or speedo problems? You guys are a wealth of knowledge and this BB is just great. The wife is threatening to "lock out" my activity, says it's costing too much!!! I say there's no price tag on knowledge!!! Keep up the good work guys.

Thumbs up

Casper, I found this site that tells you all the info you need if you're thinking about getting a different size tire.
http://www.dakota-truck.com/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

About the wife, see if this helps. I'll tell you what I did: I opened my own savings account and every paycheck I put 50 or 100 bucks. Let time go by and before you know it you got enough to buy toys for your toy. Wife might still nag about "where did all money come from?" kindda thing, but as you know, there's no way to win...

Taking a shot here but I'm thinking about Scorpion Zero's too for my Expy. I hate these General's and I found surface splits on the inner sidwall of one.

My delima is how will the 285/60/17's look on the stock 17x7.5 wheels? I think 8" would be ok but I'd prefer them on 8.5 or even 9".

2000RegCab54, do your's fit well? If on 8" wheels they aren't bowed up then on 7.5 they may not look bad. The 275/60/17's look fine.

I just remember back in the mid 80's having 275/60's on a Chevy sht bed with 8"(frt) and 10"(rear) Crager S/S and they looked good!
