Question BFG A/T 295/75R16s on F150?

Anybody got pictures of a late-model F150 4x4 with BFG A/T 295/75R16s? I know the 285s fit fine, what about the 295s?

FORDLOVER,
My close friend in atlanta has a 1998 ORP s/c lariat styleside and he removed the 17in wheels and tires and put 295-75/16 BFG all-terrains on a 16x8in wheel. I can tell you that it looks GREAT!! I wish I had a picture to post on here. They do not rub at all, and he didn't need to torque his torsion bars up, however, it would've looked better if he did. I definately recommend these to any of y'all who are looking for a 16in tire. I would've already gotten them myself, but I like the 17in off-road wheels alot and don't plan on taking them off. good luck!!

Humm, that must be a site, my friend David H on here has 295's on his 4x4 F150 with a 4" Rancho lift and they rub a little on turns. I wish I could see pics of these trucks with no lifts runnin such large tires with no problems. If I hear one more person tell me that 285's will fit on a stock 2wd I'm gonna freak, cause it can't happen, and if so, better show some pics. (it was in another post somewhere)
Here's Dave's truck with 295's:

MUDDER,
Your friend has a real nice looking truck!! it is possible that my buddy in atlanta who is running the 295's with no lift may have them on a 16x7 or 16x7.5 wheel, i am not certain that they are 16x8's. I know they are aftermarket, and I know that they do not rub at all though, and they look real sharp!!

No pictures yet but I'm running 135 55 X16 BF Goodrich on 16 X 8 inch rims. No lifts or mods required looks real good. I'll post some pictures when I figure out how.

Mudder,
I guess it is time to FREAK... I have to post this for anyone who is willing to listen and want to know the truth. Maybe it is a fluke but my truck has 285-75-16's (32.8) on 16x8 wheels on a stock height 4x2. Please let there be someone in the north side of Atlanta that will take a pic and post it on this site for me to "prove" this. I really wouldn't want Mudder to have cardiac arest over this.
Also keep in mind that I am not trying to get attenuation (? on spelling) that you 4x4 owners need off road. My truck is an urban 4x4 with a 4x2 drivetrain that rarely sees more than a dirt road.

I'm sorry TJohnston, I didn't mean to make you mad. You have got to understand though what I'm sayin, I would just think that on a 4x4 the 285's rub a little on turns, so I would think in my mind that they would have to rub somewhere on a 4x2. Now don't think that I'm callin you a liar, cause that's not my intentions. I would just love to see a pic of your truck, whenever you get one.
No hard feelings.

Mudder,
No hard feelings, I just want everyone to know that this setup will work, and without a doubt you can turn THIS truck lock to lock with no scrubbing. If I can get anyone to help me by taking and posting a pic for me I will so everyone can see.

Someone help TJohnston get a picture of the 285's on here!!!

TJohnston, what's the problem, no scanner? You can take a picture, and when you take the film to get developed, has them posted on a webpage for you. I think AOL does that if you have it. I really want to see this set up.

It can save me money and allow me to get my wheels a lot sooner!!!

Thanks!

Well TJohnston all I can say is I am sorry for doubting you. I said before that I would not believe you until I saw it from my own eyes. Well tonight I saw a 2wd with 285/75/16's at TACO BELL(my favorite). I talked to the guy about them rubbing and he said they rubbed on turns and once when he went mudding the inside fender plastic moldings(wheel well plastic) ripped out. So there it is I am a believer of TJohnston now. Mudder I gave him the site address and told about the rallies. So next time we have a get together I will call him up and get him to come so you can see for yourself. Cause I am sure you are still skeptical.

Here is another tid bit. If you are only worried about lock to lock then you can put spacers on the inside of the rack. I you to have to do this on the mustangs for big wheels and tires on the front. I can get the part # for the mustang rack, I don't know if it is the same as the F150 rack but all you do is remove the dust cover from each side of the rack and take a nylon rack limiter spacer and clip over the shaft. The spacers are a c type of design with one side open to slide over the shaft. Remount the dust covers and this will cure the lock to lock rubbing. I didn't have to do this on my truck as it didn't rub.....period...

Davensa,

Does BFG make the AT in a 315/75/16....I thought the biggest size in 16 inch they had for the AT was the 295/75/16.....
