Question Front end shake with Bigger tires???

I have a 99 f-150 4x4 with the 17" wheels.
I was at a 4X4 shop this week and asked them about putting a 3 inch body lift on my truck with the Micky Thompson 34x11.5x17 baja belted tires on. They told me that this would cause a major shake in the front end of the truck. They said that the f-150 front end couldn't handle tires that beefy and heavy. Has anyone out there had this problem with bigger tires on there truck? If so do you know how to get around this problem? I really want to jack up my truck, but dont want the shake in the front end.

Well your 4x4 doesn't know Squat. Plenty of people here have larger tires on their f150's. As large as 35+. I've never heard of any front end shake from anything other than unbalanced tires. FIND ANOTHER SHOP Maybe one who knows more about our F150's Check out the Gallery and Links to other F150 sites. You'll see these Jacked Trucks.

I don't think it is a matter of the truck handling the bigger tires as it is the shop balancing the behemoths! My tires were a bear to get balanced but now they run fine.

So, just for the record, 33's here and no shaking goin on! Find a shop that is more confident in their abilities
