hardcore 4x4

I am planning to build a off road machine for fun and hunting. I was wondering what tire would be the absolute meanist, most aggresive tire for the most reasonable price. Where I hunt and live there is a very steep, long hill with a equilly steep and somewhat muddy logging road on it.
I know that the superswamper tsl and bogger are very good offroad, but I don't know what would be best for the steep, muddy, rocky climb and decent.
By the way, size would be in the 33x12.50 to 35x12.50 range.
Thanks for any help.

Boggers are good for straight on mud digging, but side sliding can become an issue, and on a hill that would worry me. That would be a good way to get sideways and cause a rollover. I myself like TSL/SX for the fact that you get good traction and they have more aggressive side lugs. The only thing with the bias ply TSLs and boggers is you can expect about 10k from the boggers and 20k from the tsls. I have a set of bias ply tsls and they have maybe 1000mi on the road and they've worn significantly.

I got myself a set of firestonn destinion tires from tire rack last fall. they did just as good as the super swampers tsl's. they have over 10k on them allready and dont show any tread ware. i have had them in more snow then mud but they do good in both. mine are 265/75/16 and 18" of snow was no problem.

i have 315 75 16 which is a 35 in the buckshot mudders. they have about 20,000 miles on them and still have a ton of tread left. they are really good for mud and street driving.

You might want to consider the Pro Comp Xterrain. I am currently running these on my Jeep and love em. Nice aggressive tread should meet your needs. They did excellent for me the several times I had them in the mud and rocks.
