315/70 R17 tires w/ no lift

Anybody else tried to run the 315's without cranking the bars. Getting new tires this week.

I wouldn't suggest it unless you have some sort of lift. You will rub when turning, going over bumps, offroading.......

The stock height cannot handle that size. You need to raise it up in the front somehow. Either crank the torsion bar or get a lift kit.

I don't have any problems running them. You can crank the t-bars but why? You might trim 2.5 to 3 inches off your air dam.

I'm running BFG AT's and love'em. We had about 5 inches of snow over the weekend and they worked wonderfully. Like I've said before, if you go with this size tire you will need to do some trim on the front air dam, and I had to trim a little bit off my inner fender liner on the rear. But I think mine wasn't in right to begin with because I haven't seen one like it before.

I just put the 315/70/17 BFG AT's on stock wheels but I also put a 3" PA body lift, but didn't have to do any trimming.
