I would go with the Michelin M/Ss. A friend has the RT/Ss and they have hunks of tread gone from just normal driving, so I would go for the Michelins.

After reading the Customer Reviews/Ratings on Tirerack.com I would go with the Michelins. It's a shame Michelin doesn't make anything bigger than 265's for our trucks.

Go with the LTX AT's I have them on my 98. My opinion only, but don't waste any money on Wranglers, any variety. They only work on dry pavement. And not too well at that. But you can get bigger sizes in the Goodyear.

Just my 2 cents

What do u mean that Goodyear's only work well on dry pavement. My MT/R out performed my friends super swampers off road and they BFG MT. My Friend had a Pair of LTX AT's and all they were was crap they didnt even make it to 20k.

Thumbs up

Michelin all the way. They are much better than any good year. And the comment about Michelins only going 20,000, no way. A guy i know has them and i think hes got about 40000 on them with almost no wear. They ride nice too. Goodyear RT/S's are a road hazard by themselves. I actually was about to hit 4x4 to get through an intersection w/ a little incline to it in the rain, i wasn't going anywhere, only spining. GOODYEAR SUCKS!(StevensBlack4x4 please dont respond to this, you don't even have rt/s tires)

Just get the MS. Don't listen to anything good about the goodyears. Not one thing they do can make up for how poor the traction on them is. It's like ABS doesn't exist with them. I've heard and seen plenty of bad things about the at/s too.

Go to:

and read the customer comments. If you see any saying "They're pretty good, but next time I'm going to get ...". avoid them. (You see this alot at the Chevy forums)

MY GOODYEARS SUCKED!!!!!! Got rid of them way before the tread wore. They just would not stop in the rain. Or go for all that matter.

Goodyear tires are downright dangerous. I'll never own another set as long as I live. Michelin makes BFG...Michelin all the way. My Dad has 50000 on his LTX's and still going.
