Tire size affect speedomater much

Just got a new f-150 with 18 rins on with tall tires i was told. the tire it self is not a full size and is like a 17 rim with normal 17 wheels. was wondering how much of a different to the speedomater it would be if i put normal 18 tires on the 18 rims.

There is a mathematical formula for calculating the tire diameter, which is multiplied by the circumfrence which is what proportionally affects your speedo and odo.

Check out this Tirerack page for some more info.

What's normal?

All you want to know is how much different the new overall tire diameter is from the stock tire diameter programmed into the computer. Use the tire size calculator. Keep it simple.
