Question M/T MTX or Cooper A/T?

Ok, I've heard these come from the same plant, same line, just slightly different. They look similar aside from the side "grippers". I have Kelly Safari AWR's right now. I like them but they are worn out. 2 of them at least. I can get the Kelley's for about $125 each. the MTX's for about the same or the Cooper A/T's for about $110. I need help and I need to get them this week. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I'm open to emails too! No, I don't want to spend the bankroll on BFG's. If I wait a while I can get Dunlop Mud Rovers for about $125 too. However, the lack of siping scares me a little.

ok ok ok

I made the decision. I went with the Cooper AT's. I could get them installed and out the door for $109 each. I called one place and they would match it (which would have been great cause they are closer to me) but they called me back to say there was a "national backorder". So I called the other place back up and they said they'd have them in for me tomorrow afternoon from their other store. $436.72 for 4 tires. The place that couldn't get them offered me the MTX's for $484 out the door. Still a decent price, but $50 is $50, especially if I can actually get 50,000 miles out of them.

Now, do I go blackside out or white letters out....

I went black out and previously had white out. Black out on a 4WD looks 100% better in my opinion on a 2 tone rig. My truck is tan with black along the bottom. Let us know how you like those tires. That's an awesome price!

Thumbs up black out

So far so good. We got some snow last night and today. I got the tires this afternoon and they seem to have pretty decent grip. I took a back road home so I could find some snow/slush. I had to really get on it to break the tires loose. I had them put black side out too. They look pretty decent. I didn't realize cooper made so many different styles. To bad they don't have more of them in the 17" rim size. Thanks for your help. They aren't the Mud Terrains I was looking for last summer, but I think they will work. I think they will work well in snow and wet. I'll have to see how the mud and sand will be. I don't do too much of that, but I still get way off road about 6 times a year where it's not good to go alone...

Thanks again.

Doug
