how to measure back spacing

Question how to measure back spacing

i was going to get a spindle lift on my truck and ive been told i must have 4 5/8 backspacing. how do i measure for it. from lung holes to back of rim? i have no idea

2000 4.2l V-6 w/sport package std. cab. 2wd, bright red
billet grille
clear corners
herculiner bed liner
k&n filter
sony head unit
two 10" kicker comps.
sony amp

future:
spindle lift
fipk
chip
headers when they go down from $330
exhaust

I think you got it right . From the back of the lug holes to the edge of the rim.Just don't stuff a big tire on a narrow rim , the sidewall bulge might cause trouble!

thanks alot i thought it was but not sure. now i think im going to put wheels and tires into my budget.
