Question flat spot

My SCREW has 300 miles on it and I get a very distinctive "bump" sound in the truck. I took it to the dealer today and after 8 hours of investigation they said that both front tires had a flat spot from transporting the truck. They also said that the flat spots may go away, so drive it for another 1000 miles and if no better they would replace the tires. Is this BS or not? Thanks

Radial tires don't get a flat spot unless they have been sitting for weeks, if not months. Unless you somehow got bias ply tires, which I seriously doubt, there story sounds like bs. Unless your truck really was sitting in transport and at the dealer lot for over several months. I mean no testdrives, no moving of the truck in any way. Plus, flat spots only take a couple of miles to get out. Not 1000 miles, that is BS.
