Cool

I'm on my second set of BFG AT/S and they are pretty quiet. I don't notice any noise.

Are they noisy? I will be looking for
new tires in 10K or so, and want to
go from the slightly modified 245s to
265's (stock was 235 Generals, what crap.)
Do a lot of highway cruising and want a
decent ride, not noisy.
How do the BFGs meet those standards??
thanks.

MUDDER........Thanks for the advice on the BFG's...I got the 285-75-16's and they are the BOMB!!!! They really "make" the truck. I'm looking into winches now....looks like ramsey gives more bang for the buck so far. I should have some pics soon. Thanks again !

I dont do ANY off road (unless by "accident")
I'm looking at the BFG Long Trail. I see little snow, lots of wet - & 99% smooth road driving.
Is this a good choice?
I've always run Mich's before - how do BFG stack up
Thnx

Hi all! New member here. I'm in the market to replace my stock 245/75/16 Firestones (Not 'cause of the controversy, but because they're bald) Anyway, I've noticed that a lot of people have gone to 265 even 285 sizes. Does this increase width or height (or both)? Also, how does it affect your speedo? Thanks!!

The BFGs are great tires on & off the road, but for strictly street-driven trucks there are better riding and less noisy choices. I've got the older (non-KO) ones and I think they are a bit loud. But, with over 40,000 miles of wear- some offroading- you can bet I'll buy them again for any 4x4.

Ponypullin-
There is some good info at www.tirerack.com on tire sizes. Choose wisely as larger tires can have adverse affects on performance- especially towing.
