Question 295/75-16s fit on a STOCK 99 4x4?

i have a 99 f150 4x4 and i plan was planning on buying 285s (for some new 16x8s) but i want to know ahead of time if 295/75 16s will fit on my truck without a lift. if they do i might opt to go with the bigger tire...any comments or suggestions?

heres my truck

these are the wheels i am looking at, 16x8.

A friend of mine has a regular cab flareside, WITHOUT the ORP and he fit 295/75-16's on some 16x8 wheels. But, he did have to trim a little from both the front airdam and the mud guard.

BTW, i left you a message in your string about the 17's.

i went to my local discount tire and they said they would test fit some 295s on my truck first so that i can see how they fit. this helps out a TON because then i will know for sure and later on down the road i wont think "i bet those 295s would have fit fine"

Yes you can. You will have to trim the front bumper skirt a little or crank the torsion bars up 1". I just did the torsion bars and they work great. Truck looks a lot better also.

Thumbs up

A friend of mine has a 2000 Reg. Cab w/out the ORP, and he installed 16x8 rims, and put 305/70/16 Goodyear Mud-Terrains on them. He didn't have to do any "trimwork" or mods.
Just tryin' to Help..... with my .02 worth.
