Post PSI on BFG 285/75/16's

What is the optimum PSI for the BFG 285/75 im running them now at 45psi but the max is 65. The inside door sticker doesnt do jack anymore since i switched the tires.

The pressure depends on the size of your rim. If you are using stock rims you should be ok on pressure. If you are using a wider rim then you can put more in. Toom much pressure with the stock rim will cause the tire to wear inevenly( the middle will wear out first) and to little will wear the edges first. 45 should be good that is waht I am running on the stock 16" lariat five stars and I have the same size tires.

I'm running 65psi on my BFGs also. Yes, seems a little high but that's what is says on the sidewall. Also the sidewall rating should superceed what is stated in the door for your stock tires.

'00 Expedition XLT, Silver w/Dark graphite interior, 5.4L, Stull Billet Grill, 2/4 Drop and some other stuff. All in all she'll stay stock. Ok, maybe a Flowmaster 50 series soon.

Well I have the same tires and have asked a lot of tire personnel. They have all stated from 45-50. 65 is the max, so you should at least do less than that by like 5 psi. Cause your tire will heat up and when at 65 it may go from 65 -70 or 75 which will definitely over inflate you tire.
