F150 4x2 mtr 285 70 17

I have a 2000 4x2 with 17 rims . I am getting ready to purchase mtr 285 70 17 , it looks like I have more than enough clearance just curious if anyone has run this size on a 4x2 without any rubbing ect ...

This is my first f150 and this has is an exccellent forum with a lot of good advice ..
thanks

Hello bucs528,

If you have a 2x4 with 17" wheels, I think it comes stock with BFG Long Trail T/A's in 275/65-17. The 285/70-17 are an 1" wider and 3" taller, I am pretty sure they will rub, but I am not 100% sure.

275/65-17 BFG Long Trail T/A = 30.2 x 10.6

285/70-17 Goodyear Wrangler MTR = 32.9 x 11.5

I've read post by several members here and on FTW who have fit 285/75-16's on stock 4x2's so a 285/70-17 should fit also since it is the same height and width.
