37s on stock rims

I am running 35s on 16x10s right now, but want to move to a 37 and not get new rims. Will the 37-12.50-17 fit safely? Any input is greatly appreciated.

The width is the only factor to consider.

A 12.50" wide tire will fit on a 8-12" wide wheel. 16x10 falls in that range.

However, a stock Ford wheel is about 7" wide. Not quite enough. Although it can be done, it is not recommended. Most shops probably wont even do it, although I have seen it done.

I know of a ton of guys who run 12.5" tires on 7" rims. The problem is uneven tread wear but that can be helped by running the tires about 3-5 PSI below their rec specs. Lots of people will probably tell you that they have a tendancy to lose the bead and I can say that the people that I know doing this are guys who off-road their trucks hard and say that they don't have any major problems.
