Noisy Brakes at low speed stop

During my daily drive, my 2000 F150 will develop a squeek when braking. It will last for a period of time, then go away, only to return at a later time or the next day. Took truck to a shop for a brake inspection and was told that the rotors had no damage and there was plenty of life in the pads. Just got this truck in the past month, so I do not have any history. Have 4 wheel disc brakes. Would like some advice.

Ever since they did away with asbestos (which is a great thing), the squeeks have been a presence in cars and trucks. My brakes make the same squeeking noise, especially when reversing at low speeds or light braking applications.

This is an acceptable noise for ALL manufacturers not just Ford.

Take the pads off and put a small amount of anti squeak on the backs of them.

Or if you want to do it the right way, take the rotors off and have a shop put a NON-Directional finish on them and then lightly sand the pad surface. Put it all back together and properly break the pads in. If you still get squeak your pads have been overheated by the previous owner.

If you don't want to take the rotors to a shop you should be able to rough them up pretty good by hand with emory paper. Just make sure the are rocket clean before re-assembly or the little sand bits will trash your pads!
