Sorry if I came off as pissed, not my intention. Welcome to the boards. I love my truck except for the ****ty tranny and MPG. Love Ford's styling though.

Hello Abarrett,

Here is the short of it for a 4x4, there are a few other odd sizes but these are the most common.

(Stock Wheel Size)
16x7
265/75-16 (meet tire makers specs, 2wd OK)
286/75-16 (most tire makers require a 16x7.5 wheel, but most people have no problems)
305/70-16 (most tire makers require a 16x8 wheel, would be pushing it and some rubbing can occur)

17x7.5
275/70-17 (meet tire makers specs)
285/70-17 (meet tire makers specs)
33x12.5-17 (most tire makers require a 17x8 wheel, most people have no problems, but some rubbing can occur)

The most common tire that I think that you will see on as stock 2WD is
265/75R16(31.6") I had them on my truck when I bought it and as a matter of fact are on the truck again till I get my gears done. They fill up the wheel well nicely and have no issues with rubbing. I did some off-roading with them as well and they held up nicely.

33's would require a lift spindle for the front that you could probably do yourself or pay to have it installed. Installed you would probably pay around $600, $700 tops. The spindle itself costs around $475. By using this set-up you maintain the stock feel of the trucks suspension due to the fact that you use the rest of the stock components.

I've seen several members here and at www.fordtruckworld.com who have fit 285/75-16's (33x11.50) on stock 4x2's.
