97 F150 w/12mm Lugs

New person here.

I have a 97 Flareside with original clearcaot rims. My question is similar to Shepdog's:
Will 2003 Ford F-150 Crew Cab rims fit on my 97 w/12mm lugs?
If the lugs are not the same, Ford does not recommend using them. Is there any other options?

Thanks much.

Yes they will swap fine, you just need to use your current 12mm lug nuts.

Thanks, Powerstroke!
Would I need to put a washer under the lug?

No the stock lug nuts have the washer as part of it.

One other thing you might want to check is which 12mm lug nuts you have. As I recall (having had a '97), some early 97's had a lug nut recall because of a heat treating problem. The "bad" lug nuts were silver in color. The replacement nuts were black. If in doubt, check with your dealer. Otherwise, everything should fit just fine.
