Tires cannot decide

I got a quote from 4wheel parts on 4" Rancho sus lift that is 2,250 installed including alignment and shocks(rs5000's) the problem is tires they quoted 750.00 for BFG AT 285-70-17 mounted and balanced and close to 950.00 for the Procomp AT 33-12.50 i had thought the BFG'S would have been more?
Any pics of either with 4" sus lift so i can see which one would look best, Also i plan to keep the stock 17"x 7.5 wheels for now. Thanks for any help.

I would have thought the BFGs would have been more, not the other way around. Plus I've read on here where you can get a "buy 3 get one free" type deal on Procomp tires. Maybe those who have got such a deal can elaborate?

BTW, what year is your truck? I'm guessing pretty recent if you have 17x7.5 wheels since I think they may only be FX4 package? I'm also interested in that Rancho 4" kit, but Rancho hasn't responded to my email to see if it would work for the 2003's, and I haven't been motivated enough to call some of the shops around here. Keep us posted on what you decide to do, especially if you do get the Rancho kit. Good luck -

Mike

It's a 2000 SC 4x4 orp, I kind of thought the same thing on the tires but what do i know, It seems the Rancho is the lift of choice and will probably check with Texas offroad out in Spring also before making my decision. Either way it's a large investment so a little research couldn't hurt.

Have you looked into Trailmaster or or supperlifts? From what I understand they are better than rancho. A cheaper option for your tires might be Mud Kings made my BFG. I think the sizes you are looking at would be around 140 a piece.
