Michelin LTX m/s?

anyone else get these as OE factory tires?

I got them on my 2003 E-250.

They're 225/75R16 Load Range E tires. On tirerack, they're rated very highly with 13 million miles of real world use!
I also haev 3.73s on a Dana 60 with their Traction-Lok.

I have a question - how much air do I need to inflate them to? The sticker says 60 psi up front, 80 psi in the rear.

Woudln't 80 psi (max cold sidewall rating) be overinflating the rear tires? Or is this just in case you start loading up the rear to prevent blowouts?

I'm trying to find a pressure where I can get optimal treadwear, traction, and handling. I don't haul all that often.

Check the sticker again. The pressures you found look like ths max pressures, which you would use if fully loaded down.

When fully loaded you would have more air in the back because that is where the payload weight would mostly be over.

Check your manual for unloaded or normal pressures.

The stick says 60 psi front, 80 psi rear (doesn't mention whether its unloaded or loaded).

The 3/4 rule shows 60 psi as being the right pressure all around.
