Brake Indicator on dash flakey!
After reading some other posts in this forum I have started setting the parking brake on my truck when I park it. Recently I have noticed that the warning light on the dash does not always light when I set the parking brake even if I release and reset it yet if I shut the truck off and start it back up the indicator lights right up until I release the brake. I've never had to replace the rear brakes, they were checked last in mid December and had plenty of material at that point. I now have almost 58000 miles on a 98 with rear ABS. I know that the rear brakes are setting when I set the parking brake as I had let the truck coast(<5mph) and in gear and applied the parking brake and stoped the truck fine. Any ideas?

The Light goes out everytime when released the problem is that it fails to come on occaisionally when I set the brake. Eventhough everytime I set it the brake engages and releases fine. When released the light goes out just when set sometimes the light comes on and sometimes it dose not?
