Angry Crappy rotors from factory

Anyone else have warped rotors when you drove your new truck off the lot? Apparently the good people on the assembly line sometimes apply uneven pressure with their impact wrenches when they put the tires on. And Ford, of course, will only turn - not replace - the rotors they warped. They've turned mine twice so far. Anyone else experienced this?

And do any of you have good aftermarket rotors to recommend? I hope to replace my rotors on my next brake job, and I'd like to get something better than what the factory put on. I've heard the factory rotors are flimsy to begin with.

Sorry don't have this problem, but mines 4wd. But heard of several with your problem. Only problem is I can't remember if anybody did anything about it other than replace with ford rotors . All I can recomend is a change of dealers. Have all your work done at MidTenn ford, they are considerably more capable than your average dealer service department(although, any mechanic with more than a weeks experience ought to be able to handle a brake job). Plus they work 2 shifts there and you can pick up or drop off from 7am till 1am

Welcome to the F150 board "girlwithtruck"! Ford should know not to tighten without a torque wrench. Whoever you have replace your rotors, make sure to ask if they plan on using a torque converter on the impact wrench, especially on your alloy aluminum wheels. If these wheels are not properly tightened, they could develop sress cracks. Any aluminum wheel if over torqued will be prone to this since alloy wheels showed up back in the muscle car days.
I just had my rotors and brake pads replaced a couple weeks ago. The rotors were shaking me out of the cab on hard braking. I had Monro-Muffler do mine up here in Newark, Ohio. What a difference! My rotors warped from all the driving I do. Sorry you didn't get better service. Threaten to contact the Ford Motor Co. unless they agree to replace the rotors. Because it is a known fact that there is hardly any tolerance for machining back to true. The serviceman at Monro-Muffler showed me the data. I hope it works to your good and by all means, enjoy the truck.
