More Damn Rims ?'s

Im gettin new rims in a week or so. im contemplating on what to get. I want to know if a 15" rims will fit on a 01 F-150. i worked on a 97 4x4 F-150 and it had 15x10's. i was wondering if this would work on my truck. BTW. its a 4x4 sport with factory 17's

Thanks

Make sure you do the research. I heard that 15's won't fit over the brake caliper's on our truck's.

Nope, rumor goes that it will work on 97-98 F150s with the drum brakes but will not work with rear discs. The problem with running 15" wheels even on the 97/98s is that you have to run a very low backspacing creating more wear on all the bearings, steering, etc. on the front end. Just run some 16s, more and more companies are coming out with 16" tires so the selection is there now and prices are coming down.

Powerstroke,His truck is an 01,so I don't think they will work.

Powerdome, I agree with Powerstroke ! Go to a 16" or 17". The biggest tire selection is in the 16",but 17" are coming up fast. I just boought a set of 17x8 Welds Sidewinders to put on . I'm running 285/70/17 BFg at/ko's on stock 10 spoke's now. The new rim's should be here in a week or less.

I realize that, I'm pointing out the fact that it was possible on the 97/98 F150s, THATS why he saw a 97 with 15" wheels. It is not possible on 99+ F150s hence thats why I said that it WON'T work with rear disc brakes as thats when they converted to them.
