with 35"s you'd probably be alot happier with disks. probably the easiest thing would be to swap in front brakes and a master cylinder from a newer truck out of junkyard parts. rear disks would probably be over kill, and more of a challenge. especially if you would run most of the time with little weight in the bed. your rear tires would lock up pretty easy unless you got into some kind of proportioning valve set up. My suggestion, if you could afford it would be to swap in a dana60 front axle and a master cylinder from the same truck. that way you could get disk brakes as well as an 8 lug bolt pattern up front to match your 3/4 ton axle in the back. Basically, like anything else, it all comes down to how much money you have to spend.

hi, i have a 5 wheel lug patten now, i work up at an automechanic shop so i can do most of the work myself with the help of a few of the guys at the shop. i will be doing a lot of 4 wheelin and a lot of farm work with it. i am putting a suspension and body lift so i will have beefier springs and stuff. i was just wondering if there was any kits or anything u can get to transfer them over. thanks for the info.

Cool

Has anyone put rear disks on the 97 or newer F150? Are there any conversion kits out there?

Question

I saw a 97 or 98 WORK truck in Cleveland
that had rear discs. Was it an option?
You could probably get some from an
Expy. I'm sure many have been totaled and wouldn't miss them too much.

Just drums for 97 and 98. Rear discs start coming in 99. Was not an option in 97 or 98 and I have been looking for an aftermarket alternative, but nothing out yet.

If there are some 97 or 98 around with them is because they replace them with expedition or 99-up pick up rear sets.

We will see what we can get and how soon.

My boss has a 2000 f150 with discs on the rear I would love to see the look on his face if he came out and found the rear on blocks.
