Just finished changing plugs...

After re-reading a few of the spark plug threads on the NA 4.6/5.4 engine, though I would change the plugs in my 4x4 screw.

Anyway, thought I would post my findings for all of you to add another data point to the data base.

1. Engine has about 45,000 miles
2. I don't really push this engine since it is my daily driver. However, it has seen many extended WOT blasts up to 4000 RPM in OD and an very entended 100mph+ drive through remote West Texas near Big Bend.
3. First time for the plug change in the Screw. The engine runs and idles great. This plug changing exercise was more to ease my mind.
4. The OEM plugs looked to be in very good condition. I believe that the stock plugs could have gone 100,000 miles easy.
5. The OEM plugs were well torqued, and took a reasonable effort to get out. This in contrast to some of the "L's", whom have reported that the OEM plugs were finger tight in some cases.
6. Used NKG Iridiums instead of the platinums.

Glad I changed the plugs, can sleep better now since I know there are/were no problems, but they really didn't need changing and could have gone probably to 100,000 miles.
