sscully, I found the caplock button.......much better hua?
dont want any misinterpatations of my volume here, just looking for all sides of the story so to speak. I too know just a little about humidity being a rocks throw from the Gulf of Mexico, spending a great deal of my time there fishing on the beach. (120 miles in the sand per trip)
I dont doubt your findings, call me stubborn or ignorant (whatever the case may be) but I belive that the air from the fender well has to be cooler. Yes, the open end air filters will give a better flow
(didnt know about those when I bought my K&N) but on the same hand the more opening the more area for dust collection. All of this being consitered, the enclosed filter element, with enlarged intake and less restrictive velocity tube is the best set-up for me. Afterall..... reguardless of how much flow and how cold the air,my 5.4 will never be as fast as your L! Did that require a trans adpt by the way?

No problem, some people use it for that...

Oh yea, I found out that I don't really have a trans cooler, but an intercooler
No trans adapt needed, just use the same old 4R70 trans, a little duct tape, and don't even change the fluid. It is just getting to where the trans likes it.
Don't know what it slips like crazy when I stand on it, must be the U joints slacking up

disclaimer It really is a 5.4 N/A SCrew, nothing magic there, and I am not made of money, so I could jack up the body and drive a HD under it.
