PowerAid Throttle Body Spacer for 5.4L

I'm considering some upgrades for my '97 Expy - 5.4, 3.73 gears, 275/70/17s, stock motor, stock filter, stock exhaust.

First, I'll do the K&N FIPK - will order that next week.
Next... well, I don't know. I'm thinking that if the the throttle body spacer is easy to install and adds some HP/Torque it's worth the $100.00.
Eventually, I'll do the exhaust - that'll have to wait a little while.

So, I need some opinions on the spacer.

Thanks!

I think bases on the replies from the people here that have used the throttle body spacers, the general concensus is they are akin to a paper weight. That being said, I've wondered if a throttle body spacer would make any difference on my supercharged 4.6.

Around these message boards there are three mods that are called the "three best bang for the buck" mods. They consist of a FIPK, freer flowing exhaust and a tuning chip. I can attest that the "three" are reletively inexpensive and effective.

Good luck!

I picked up a Helix Power Tower spacer for my 5.4, tried it out for a few days. I noticed acceleration once in OD between 1,500-2,500rpm was quicker/picked up a bit better. It also sems to recover cruise control-set speed quicker after down-shifting on a hill.
I took it out for the last three days just comparing with and without, I will put it back in this afternoon, I'm running to the next town after work to try it again.
It didn't seem to take any power away, didn't add anything on mid or top end, just added a wee bit more bottom end grunt.
Will post some info on how it rund tonight.
