Question Havoline synthetic

any body got any experience with Havoline's synthetic oil. The 5-30 is considerably cheaper than Mobil 1 which I use now in my 98 Expedition.
Got a new F150 5.4 with first oil change coming up soon and was just wondering

Haven't used Havoline Synthetic, but I've been realitively unhappy with Mobile 1. For the same price (but harder to find) you can get Royal Purple, which for my V-6 makes it run smoother. I got all those things they advertise for synthetic oils: better mileage, smoother idle, a little better acceleration ( probably in myhead), and less engine noise. I've run Mobile 1, Castrol Syntec, Royal Purple and Quakerstate. I think the Royal Purple made it run the best with Quakerstate Synthetic a close second.

Why have you been unhappy with Mobil1? Other than the price I can't really think of anything else to not be happy about with Mobil1. It's oil.. As long as it does the trick, what's there to not be happy about? Many people are unable to tell the difference between conventional oil and synthetic. If your able to feel the difference between each brand of synthetic oil on the ol' butt-ometer... That's one sensitive 'tush' you have! Also, around here atleast, RoyalPurple is quite a bit more expensive than Mobil1.
