Well i finally got my truck back after a week of being in the shop. They put a brand new longblock in and flushed the tranny,new belts,coil packs, the works. Truck runs great and it really feels like its new again. No more ruff idle from the blown out sparkplugs .Hopefully this solves my problems and this wont ever happen again. I was planning on selling the truck but now that i put a new engine in it its gonna be around for a long long time.

 

what the heck happened???

 

blew out three diff sparkplugs.. happen a total of 5 times and both heads needed to be replaced. it was cheaoer in the long run to go ahead and put a new engine in. the truck only had 83,000 miles on it.

 

Jeeze... what caused the plugs to blow out? Were they changed and then just not torqued to proper specs? Or did they just up and blow out? Glad to hear the truck runs good again!
