I have noticed in several posts that people mention a rough idle problem? What exactly is the problem and how severe is it? I have noticed that my engine vibrates a little bit at idle, but not bad. Once I give it any gas though, it is smooth as silk. Much smoother than my brother's '94 with the 5.8L. I have noticed that it idles better with Chevron gas. Has anyone else noticed the brand of gas making a difference?

My '92 Ranger with the 3.0L was much worse at idle. I have heard complaints about the Ranger 3.0L even in the new models. It must be a design flaw, but not one that hurts longevity. My younger brother has it now and it is over 130K with nothing but normal mntc.
