Won't shift out of PARK

I just got done pulling the dash to replace the heater core...got it back in just fine too. Now that I try to drive it away, the damn thing won't shift out of park. There was alot of fiddling around with parts around the steering column and shift lever components. Is there anything that anyone can think off the top of their heads that I should go directly to? Right now, I'm headed back under there (not that I really feel like it right now...I'd rather have several cold beers) to try locate the problem. It it won't shift...I won't be gettin' to work tomorrow.

Thanks in advance...Scott

Rotties150............ Check your wiring to your BRAKE LIGT SWITCH. I had one of mine break, and had the same symptoms.

Don't mean to state the obvious, but in all seriousness, make sure to:

1. Depress the brake pedal.

2. Check to make sure the fuses aren't blown.

My knowledge is limited electronically beyond that.

and the winner is...

Chopper...

I'll be damned if you weren't right.

Begrudginly, I went back in and found that the plug to the brake pedal wasn't fully connected. I'm sure that was the culprit.

Shifts like a dream now...and I think it runs just a bit nicer too. Must be that karma thing...

mf150...you were on target with the brake issue.

Thanks to both for your replys...Scott
