Oil pressure numbers...
I put in the Autometer Phantom full sweep mechanical oil pressure gauge and changed oil at about the same time.
Oil is Motorcraft 5W-20 semi synthetic and the 820S filter. Took out 5W-30 Mobil 1/filter as soon as everything was checked for leaks. Oil pressure was very close between the 5,000 mile M1 and the new Motorcraft.
For an oil line I ran 3/16"(#3) SS hose from ParagonPerformance.com up to the pillar from a tee off of the oem sender. Ten foot of hose was right at $50 shipped. I could not see myself trusting that nylon tubing they include in the kit.
On a cold start(~65*f or so) I get 80-82# slowing dropping as it warms up and slows down. Idling in gear hot gives about 30# and out of gear produces 40 or so. It jumps up to 55# by 1,000 rpm and peaks about 60# above that.
These numbers sound right for a '01 5.4 Scab with 15K on it? I want to compare numbers so I know if my gauge is reading correctly. My numbers are a bit higher than what I was expecting, not that I'm complaining.
