Wink IT WAS THE COIL PAC...

you guys were right in my last weeks post. They had to replace one plug and was told I was running on 7 cyl at the time. I'm wondering, should I ask them to inspect and replace all the plugs before the job is finished by Friday at noon? Are plugs a warranty issue with only 20,000 miles if uneven wear has happened? ALSO, had them inspect the AC situation. AC has not engaged properly at hwy speeds. They are fixing this problem after a failed attempt by the (joke) ford dealer where I bought the truck. This site is great. Can I get them to take the chime out also?

Plugs will be considered a wear item and you will have to pay.
It is a not so fun job but, you can change them yourself.

Cool

The plugs should be OK. Mine coil went out at 26000 then @ 38000. Make sure they put a hose clamp on the heater hose over # 4, then you check to make sure it stays tight. Thats the only one that has any problems so you should be OK for a while. Just check with the mech. on how to do it because you will need to do this again. The coilpack is only warr. for 12000 miles so I had to do the second one myself. Also keep in mind the symptoms from this time so if it happens again you could do it without hooking it to the Computer.
