Ugh! Really sorry to read of your troubles.
As bad as this sounds, consider trading it for one that wasn't made on Monday.
So far, I've had some really great luck with Fords (Escort, Ranger, F-150 and F-150) -- so I know they built at least 4 good ones.
My wife's '95 3.8L Windstar is another story that I'm trying to forget, however.

Will this madness ever end??????
I've drivin my truck for 1k miles since the FQR was put in. Yesterday. I gave it some gas to pass a car and it started bucking and then the check engine light came on and the engine died. It did it a few more times on the way home.
When does this madness end? To date: Wiper switch replaced, Head gasket replaced, motor replaced, motor keeps dying. Total miles 39k. Anyone interested in a truck?

So far I had very good luck with my FORDS except for my 87 EXP in the 4 years I had that car I put in 3 batteries had the A/C fixed 2 times and the body damage fixed after a couple wrecks. The 91 Mustang 94 Mustang GT and the 96 Mustang GT gave me no trouble when I had them and so far the only problem with this truck was a tire blow out.

I almost forgot. My girlfriend reminded me that the power steering pump cracked and dumped all fluid during the night in Reno, NV.
I've never had this many problems with any vehicle; let alone a new one.

I'll have to say that I've never had a better or more reliable vehicle than my current '92 Ranger with 4.0L manual trans that I purchased new 9 years ago and now have 271,000mi on it. Simply a little tank of a truck that never ceases to amaze me. I'm still using the ORIGINAL clutch!!
Only repairs besides tires, brakes, exhaust, plugs, shocks (all normal stuff):
One new battery
Leaky clutch fluid cylinder
Univeral joints
5th gear at 110,000 (very weird, circular separation within the gear)
This truck has set the standard VERY high for any other vehicles that I may own!
