Question Jingle?

I posted this thread under the "suspension" topic, was wondering if any one else has it.

Me too! sounds like a washer jingling around
on a loose bolt, somewhere in the front drivers side. Started out as an ocaisional jingle, but is now there constantly.
Have only 5800 miles, will talk to the dealer this week. Maybe they already have a fix for it.

I have a problem similiar to that I think. Does the jiggling get faster as you drive faster...? That is what is happening to mine... I thought it might be a tiny rock in the hub cover. but haven't checked it yet.

Yes it does, I am pretty sure it has something to do with the wheel and the various components connected to the wheel.

I'm going to take my tire off today or tomorrow and check everything out. And shake everything to find that rattle/jiggle. I will let you know if I find anything!

Hey guys, I had the same problem with a new 97 f150 I bought--when you remaove the wheel there will be a small tin cover that that is held on by a cotter pin. It is covering the spindle nut. My cotter pin was not tight enough--I just pinched it tighter and the noise went away--I did the other side too, just to make sure.

Just an idea--

Is the Jingle/rattle from the front or rear or the truck? I have the jingle sound in the rear, took it in to the dealer, took the tech for a ride and he heard it. Left the truck overnight when i came to pick it up they said not pronounced enough to pinpoint! Mine makes the noise at slower speed 5 to 35 MPH or if you go to slow in to high a gear. I will check the under the wheel covers tomorrow, any help would be great!

hi-

I had a similar problem, and mine turned out to be the tailgate latch on the right side- of course I figured this out by accident after tightening / lubing everything I could.

Good Luck
