It would sure help the rest of us out if you would be so kind as to let us know the dealer name service mgr.names and if possible the factory reps name. I did not start this "wrong radiator" thread but I am one of the first to research it. I think most people found out about this problem here and it just seems right for you people to help the rest of us. If we can prove that Ford corporate is replacing some then they better replace them all. Thank You

I think I started this radiator business, anyway it seems that this is being handled as a mis-build by the dealers that are replacing units, in that case I belive you need to through the dealer you purchased it from.Were there any replaced by other than the original dealer?

2001 F150 XLT Supercab 4x2 4.6L Auto 3.55LS Tow Package 2.2" 2 row radiator.

 

I talked to several dealers about the radiator. All denied any problem. Lakewood Fordland in Lakewood, CO was very helpful, but told me I needed to go through the selling dealer. I purchased throught Phil Long Ford in Colorado Springs, CO. They have ordered a new one, filed it under a misbuild, and never even looked at the truck.

 

Drew Ford in La Mesa. I heard that on my 2000, Ford Motor Company would not pay and that the cost was footed by the dealer. I've read on other posts that the selling dealer only has a limited time period to get the claim submitted as a misbuild, after that they eat the costs. That may be why some resistance on the part of the dealers.

Got mine from Gus machado Ford in Hialeah, FL. Bought truck from World Ford in Homestead, FL. Service mgrs. name is Robert Guzman. No hassles at all, except they odered a 1.42" at first instead of the 2.20incher. Ford Field engineers' name was Jeff Gibula. Hope this helps...Good luck to all...

After reading all of the posts regarding radiator sizes, I was wondering if there were any problems with the wrong units on 99 models. I have a 99 F-150 lariat supercab, with towing package. Which radiator should I have? Where can I find the 'source book" that everyone is mentioning?
